Charitable Donations
As a MaineCare provider, the Ivan Calderwood Homestead does not earn enough revenue to cover its operating costs. Vinalhaven Eldercare Services raises funds through donations and various fundraising events to offset this deficit. Please use the donate button below to make a tax-deductible contribution to support the VES mission and programs.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of securities such as publicly traded stock, mutual funds, closely held stock and S corporation stock can be given to VES. To obtain the greatest tax advantage, transfer physical securities to VES rather than the proceeds from a sale.
Planned Giving
Consider making a larger, long-term commitment to VES with planned giving. We would be happy to discuss options with you in person.
Attend our fundraising events
The VES Fundraising Committee puts on a number of events throughout each year in order to raise funds to contribute to the financial need to cover the operating costs of the Homestead. Please consider attending these events to contribute.
